Speakers and Panellists

Roger Chen is the Vice President of JLC Global Sales and Marketing. In this role he manages JLC’s offices in Beijing and Singapore and oversees the development and delivery of research and market intelligence on China’s energy sectors across all of the company’s content teams. As cross-industry expert and 29-year veteran of the oil, Gas and Petrochemicals industry, Roger’s experience spans the gamut from crude oil trading, oil products trading, fuel retail management, to oil terminal investments and global strategy development and overseas market expansion for Chinese National Oil Company such as Zhuhai Zhenrong and Sinochem. He was with BP Singapore and China for 11 years, responsible at various times for the company’s strategic decision in downstream petrochemicals, crude oil, fuel oil, methanol and other projects. He is a highly-regarded expert in the domestic market and has also facilitated other foreign oil companies’ entry into China through education on business culture and commercial best practices. In the course of the internationalization of Chinese companies and the localization of foreign companies, Roger has witnesses many changes in the market. He received an MBA from South Australia University.
Li Fenglian is the senior manager of the Energy Department of JLC’s Consulting Center. She has 16 years of work experience in domestic and foreign energy consulting companies. Her industrial expertise is oil and natural gas industries. She has done researches on China independent refineries’ operation, product supply and demand, feasibility of refinery investment in Myanmar, feasibility of LPG trade in China and market supply and demand, feasibility of oil depot investment in some southern Chinese region. She has also done comparative studies on the purchase of a designated petrol station for some state-run company, studies and forecast on Chinese refineries’ feedstock sources and crude supply and demand, studies on Chinese natural gas market policies, economics studies on China LNG receiving terminals’ operations.
Maggie Han is the Chief Analyst for JLC's oil division. She has more than 10 years of commercial and management experience building on a strong understanding of the crude oil, oil products and oil blending markets. Her responsibilities include leading a strong team of oil analysts, supporting and contributing to market reports, research and analysis for the oil markets as well as providing specific data and insights for short and long term for capacity, supply/demand, price forecasting and trade balances. Energy Media interview Maggie and energy professionals seek for her views on oil industry issues. She can pinpoint market trends and interpret the market from multiple perspectives and has led many tailored research and consulting projects for energy clients from the leading financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Xi`an Jiaotong University.
Ai Bo is the chief analyst of JLC’s LPG Division. She has nine years of experience in LPG supply, demand, upstream and downstream industry research. She has prepared various LPG related reports, covering China LPG inventory, output, price, deep-processing industry, imported LPG market, etc. She has participated in several LPG projects of Sinopec, PetroChina and CNOOC. She has also attended several industry seminars as a speaker. With rich industry experience, she has also been interviewed by a number of media, including newspapers and radio, and television media. Meanwhile, her views and original articles have been reprinted and quoted by many media.
Zhou Guoxia is the chief analyst of the Fuel Oil Industry Chain Division of JLC’s energy department. She has nine years of experience in oil industry studies and constantly monitors the movements in China’s fuel oil market, focusing on independent refineries’ development, unit turnarounds, feedstock purchase and industrial policies. She has participated in many JLC annual energy events and industrial chain market forums as a speaker. She is expert at studies on market scale, industrial chain, prices and customer satisfaction, and has worked out various reports based on those studies. She has been involved in several researches on the fuel oil market and independent refineries. Her original articles have been quoted by many mainstream media.
