The 3rd China Petroleum & Chemical Sustainable Development Forum, a 1,000-Participant Forum, Opens Successfully

    The 3rd China Petroleum and Chemical Sustainable Development Forum—Release of New Products, New Technology & New Trend, organized by EUST (East China University of Science and Technology)  and co-organized by ECUST Business College and JLC Network Technology Co., Ltd., enjoyed grand opening on June 8th, 2017 at Pullman Shanghai South. 

 

    

    Compared with the last two sessions in 2015 and 2016, this year’s forum scale expanded noticeably, on-site participants were full, and all seats were occupied. About 1,000 participants attended with representative participants coming from well-known enterprises at home and abroad, including Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC, Shenhua Group, Huayi Group, BASF, Dupont, Dow Chemical, and Wacker Chemie, as well as industry elites and decision makers from research institutes, scientific research institutions, investment companies, government and colleges. This year’s forum theme was clearer, with all exchanges and discussions carried out closely concentrating on the realization of the petroleum and chemical industry’s sustainable development, of which new products, new technologies, and new trends were essential. This year’s forum was more influential, drawing high attention of more than 60 influential media agencies, and many well-known enterprises took part in the forum. It enjoys the reputation of an important forum leading the development and innovation of China petroleum and chemical industry. 

 

  

    Xin Zhong, the vice president of ECUST, made a speech on behalf of the organizer in the morning, with ECUST Business College’s director Yan Haifeng being the host. Huang Haixin, the chief executive of JLC Network Technology Co., Ltd. made a statement on behalf of the co-organizer, in which the JLC’s integrated, comprehensive and professional trading solutions were recommended, showing that JLC will further dig into the industrial chain, optimize the industrial services, complete the integrated trading solution, create more value for customers and grow together with customers as well as the industry.

    The forum started with the theme of China petroleum & chemical development and innovation in the morning. Senior leaders from large-scale enterprises at home and abroad delivered speeches, such as China National Petroleum and Chemical Planning Institute (NPCPI), China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Raw Material Department, Sinochem, Sinoepc Shanghai Petrochemical Company, CNOOC, Wacker Chemie, Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company, Zhejiang Longsheng Group, China Chemical Education Association, etc. Discussions concentrated on 13th Five-Year Plan petrochemical industry planning, new material development, innovation & sustainable development, etc. Besides, the CEO round-table discussion brings the forum atmosphere to climax. 

 

 

    In the afternoon, the forum still focused on the theme of China Petroleum & Chemical Development and Innovation. The CEO round-table discussion was also held and participants learned a lot. Senior leaders from KPMG Global Strategy Group, Aramco Far East, Air Products and Chemicals (China) Investment, CNOOC Refinery, Dow Chemical, AICM, and Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau, made speech.

    On June 9th, six sub-forums will commence, namely, refining industry development status & outlook, intelligent manufacturing & smart factory, environmental protection and safety, performance material innovative application & outlook, chemical feedstock & industrial chain development & innovation and new products, new technology and new trend in the coal chemical industry. 

    The first day of China Petroleum & Chemical Sustainable Development Forum saw a complete success. The forum tomorrow will be more splendid. So stay focusing on!
