JLC (12th) China Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry Annual Conference was held in Hangzhou on 21-22nd Oct 2020. It has successfully offered the energy industry a nationwide scale interactive communication platform as China gradually recover from epidemic. The conference, host by JLC, gathered more than 40 industry expert and speakers sharing valuable insights and attracted over 1,000 attendees.
The conference covered Oil, LPG, Methanol and Polyolefin industry chains in the China commodity market, which brought the participants valuable information-intensive gaining opportunity to enhance the future trade confidence.

Wang Yu, president assistant of the Planning Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Industry, delivered a policy interpretation speech on "The 14th five-year Plan of petrochemical Industry Development Opportunities and Challenges". Under the impact of COVID-19, the enterprises need to adapt themselves and find a way out of the crisis. Besides, JLC developed a brand new visual decision-making Support System as the new step of adaption. JLC senior analyst Xu Peng shared her prediction for the next decade. Making accurate classification and development strategy can help refiners through all sorts of difficulties, as supply& demand fundamentals were still unbalanced, she said. Developing more export destinations should be a better route for the traditional refiners who are planning to develop their downstream petrochemicals, she added.
